I'm going with Stafford, he looked good last week to close the Eagles game. He is a much better passer than Freeman, and he has Megatron. The Lions running game is poor, and most likely will falter early against a strong Bear's D. Meaning that Stafford will have to throw to win the game, like always... so expect 50 attempts easy. Freeman is scrappy, and the matchup is great.. but he won't even get close to 40 attempts. I'd take Stafford off waivers in a heartbeat, much better option for the season remainder, and in week 7.
Stafford has faced 2 other top 10 defenses. Vs. STL he had 355 yards and 1 TD and 3 picks and vs. SF had 230 yards and 1 TD 1 pick. I'm betting that vs. CHI he gets about 230 or so yards maybe a TD but also likely at least one pick.
Freeman gets a NO defense that is a bottom 10 passing defense. Vs. WAS, Freeman had 299 1td and 1 pick and vs. KC he had 328 yards 3TD and 1 pick. Even vs. the giants, freeman actually had 243 yards 2Td and 2 picks. His only mediocre game was against DAL (the number 1 passing defense) with 110 yards 1 TD and 1 pick.
I think I'd stick with freeman. Hopefully will see a multi TD day with only one pick and respectable yardage but at worst I think you'll see 250/1/1 which is what I think you'd expect from Stafford vs. an elite defense like CHI coming off a bye week.
Thanks for the help with mine. I would go Stafford, he will have to pitch the ball frequently to have a chance in the game, I don't like Detroits run game at all.
10-team keeper league - QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX, D/ST, K QB - Newton, Palmer RB - R. Matthews, Martin, Stewart, F. Jones, B. Brown WR - Julio, Austin, Maclin, Heyward-Bey, Amendola, D. Alexander TE - Graham D/ST - Bears K - Tynes
I am in the same boat, I'm not sure why people think Stafford has a better chance this week over Freeman. Maybe it's because they expect the Bears to be ahead the whole game and Stafford will be playing catchup but that doesn't change the fact that the Bears lead the league in interceptions which Stafford is very good at throwing. I'd go with just about anyone over Stafford this week, I'll be playing Jay Cutler.
QB -Aaron Rodgers RB -LeSean McCoy RB -Ahmad Bradshaw WR -Roddy White WR -Steve Smith TE - Brandon Myers W/R - Danario Alexander K - Gostkowski D - Texans
BN - M Reece BN - Antonio Brown BN - R Hillman BN - R Mendenhall BN - S Johnson BN - T Young

Personally, if this is a one-week deal, I would take Freeman in a shootout with NO. If you are looking for someone to hold for more than a week, I would take Stafford.
this, the better pickup is Stafford but Freeman better this week only

Agree with mtculp here, I just think Stafford will have very good value moving forward. What qb are you playing? Do you believe your win will come down to your QB matchup? Whatever you choose, pull the trigger. Somebody in your league may scoop up one or both choices. Good luck
