I was offered McFadden/Janikowski for McCoy/Crosby. My team is 2-4 so I can't afford to lose many more games. McFadden has underperformed so far this year. But, he has a much easier schedule the rest of the way. Philly has a tougher schedule and is a team in disarray. But, the Raiders just aren't good and we know McFadden is fragile. Rolling with two Eagles players every week seems a bit risky as well, even though I've been starting Fitz some based on matchups. Both Raiders have already had their bye week though. I have too many players on bye for week 10, so this would compound that. Difference between the top kicker and bottom kicker is only 3 points a week, so I'm not really concerned about them or should I be? Should I make the trade? Counter offer?
14 team, Head to Head league, Non-keeper 50 passing yards = 1 point 20 rushing/receiving yards = 1 point Touchdown = 6 points Interception/Fumble = -2 points Return Touchdowns = 6 points 2-Point Conversions = 2 points
My team QB - Michael Vick WR - Mike Wallace, Mike Williams RB - Darren McFadden, Alfred Morris TE - Jimmy Graham W/T - Jermichael Finley W/R - Stephen Hill K - Sebastian Janikowski D - Arizona BN - James Starks (RB), Brian Hartline (WR), Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB)
His team QB - Matt Ryan WR - Brandon Lloyd, Sidney Rice RB - LeSean McCoy, Ryan Mathews TE - Fred Davis W/T - Denarius Moore W/R - DeMarco Murray K - Mason Crosby D - Oakland BN - Jonathan Stewart (RB), Pierre Garcon (WR), Josh Freeman (QB)
I agree. Do the deal. McCoy is going to get more carries because Vick is taking a beating and he is going to need get support from the running game or the Eagles are going nowhere. Andy Reid is shaking things up, firing his D coordinator, which shows he understands the need for change. If this is the case, changes are coming to the offense even if they are subtle. I think one of those changes is a slight altering of their philosphy, which is more emphasis on the run. McCoy is just too dang talented to not utilize properly. I think they will. Again, do the deal.
Okay, you've got me convinced about the trade value being in my favor. Factor this in though, I cannot afford to throw this weekend's game away. Yahoo has my current roster projected at 66 points and my opponent at 52. Put Starks in DMC's place, bench Graham. Now, I'm at 50 points. My opponent could pick up a kicker still. I could be a proud McCoy owner with a 2-5 record and a playoff berth not likely. Would you still make the trade?
His team QB - Matt Hasslebeck WR - James Jones, Hakeem Nicks RB - Marshawn Lynch, Maurice Jones-Drew TE - Jared Cook W/T - Kenny Britt W/R - Ben Tate K - ??? D - Seattle
This is tough for sure. I still think you have to take the trade. I understand the risk in this week. I would do the deal.
Thanks for help with mine.

What isn't easy if making the playoffs with a 2-5 record. That means closing out the season 5-1. Does McCoy give me that much more upside than McFadden to be able to pull that off?

You might lose anyway if you dont do the trade.. I dont know why you'd bench Graham, he hasnt been ruled out yet.. Yeah, it sucks to play starks, but I do think McCoy is a slight upgrade to McFadden though not by nearly as much as others here.. I think its very close between the two ROS mainly due to strength of schedules. its hard to say go ahead with it especially considering your record, if you do it you will probably lose, but you could lose regardless.
I honestly feel like this trade is a trade to make a trade. The kickers are w/e, and I dont think theres that much difference between McCoy and McFadden. I think the fact that McCoy is on a bye is a deal breaker for me at this point considering your situation. If you were 6-0, 5-1 or even 4-2 I think its completely different. IF you want to do this deal I think you NEED to press this guy for more, look at his roster, he has NO RB's to play this week..
