Rice - Megatron/Welker trade WHIR

Postby Coltsfan1201 » Fri Oct 19, 2012 7:37 am

I would give up Ray Rice and Dez Bryant and in return get Reggie Bush, Welker, Megatron.

The only reason I'm hesitant is that my RB situation would be sketchy at best with no real backup if Bush got hurt again

Any input would be welcome

Wow this is tough because i love the trade at face value, but i agree it leaves you a little vulnerable. However i think you are vulnerable right now with only 2 starting caliber running backs who both have their bye weeks left to survive. I really like Reggie and think he will turn it on so i think that having him and Trent as a core is nice.

Do you think you could turn around after this and parlay Megatron into a third serviceable receiver? Maybe sell high on Gordon and do something like him and Megatron for Percey and Sproles or something along that sort of value?

Either way i think you have to get deeper because you have 2 solid RBs and 2 solid WRs and thats it. This trade makes you weaker at RB but much stronger at WR and gives you a 5th solid guy to start every week. I say do the trade and then try to shop Calvin for 2 pieces

Yep it is a 14 team league and I'm sitting in first at 5-1, though I'm around 5th in points scored

I'd take it. It'd give you an absolutely solid WR core with a good RB core.

I would do it. You could always turn around and trade Dez or Jordy for another mid tier rb and then you're good to go. I would hate to see Ray Rice go, but you also have to consider the impact of the Ravens defense being inundated with injuries. Might mean they have to throw more late in the games or in close ones.
