player wise, MJD > B.Marshall, but if you look at score, B.Marshall average 3.3pts more than MJD, and that's in .5 PPR league, probably close to 5pts in PPR league.
assuming you are starting 2 RB, 2WR 1 RB/WR if you take MJD, BJGE will be your flex if you keep B.Marshall, B.Lloyd will be your flex
and i definitely prefer B.Lloyd > BJGE afterall, it'll depends on how many RB and WR you start in your league, but trade value itself is pretty even
Very good insight! I really haven't even thought about like that, I just don't know if a Marshall/Lloyd tandem will out score MJD/BJGE tandem on a week to week, even in a ppr league
it comes down to whether or not the bears will continue to throw and give marshall his big time points and same with running MJD in jacksonville. in my opinion looking at the rest of the season, the jaguars have a much easier schedule than the bears, however they are the worst team in the league so im not sure whether or not mjd will be that much of a factor. keep in mind he is their only chance of winning any games so theyre going to rely on him moreso than their options of throwing the ball. the bears have a couple of games in their schedule that could be pretty tough on them. theyre going to need to attack defenses in the air which they seem to have figured out how to do with the acquisition of marshall. they do seem to be taking advantage of his size and strength so i would see him getting stronger and stronger as the weeks go by. if i were you id stick with marshall, just because i think he and green ellis would score more points than mjd and hartline/washington throughout the rest of the season.
I would do this trade to help bolster your starting RB lineup. BJGE is your Achilles Heel at the moment and not doing much as far as production so he is better suited for flex options. Your WR core takes a hit, but you have ample depth to ease the loss with Hartline moving up the ranks alongside Wayne and Lloyd now a flex option. MJD is a great back as a reciever out of the backfield in PPR leagues as well.
