Drop Shonn Greene or Pierre Thomas (PPR)???

Postby JDNaumiec » Sat Oct 20, 2012 4:07 pm

Need a TE to fill in for Graham (out Week 7) - going to pick up Bennett. Need to make space, so who should I drop?

Other RB's on my roster include Bradshaw, Rice, and Michael Bush. Hope that helps!

Uh, thats tough. What WRs do you have?

I'd lean more towards PT, but Greene hasn't shown much of anything either. Honestly, to my gut says Greene.

Did you see Shonn Green last week? He broke out big time, he has an easy schedule during the fantasy playoffs and I think by then he will be a very interesting flex play. He only has value against bad run D but keep him on your bench, Pierre Thomas is a prisoner to Brees' passing game.

My WR's are solid and I have a lot of them...but none that I would drop. They are...

Jennings*, Amendola*, Decker*, Bowe*, James Jones, Cobb, and Avery. Cobb is my RB/WR flex for this week.

*either injured or on bye

That's what makes it tougher, though, since Pierre is usually a decent PPR RB option. Greene is more of a pure RB without many receptions week to week.

I thought sproles got all those catches but now looking at thomas' numbers this is a tough decision. I would consider dropping Avery, although he is primed for a good week this week, so the experts say. Shonn Greene has had a tough schedule, give him a few more weeks before you drop him, WRs emerge on a week by week basis, starting running backs are harder to find.
