I'll give you the trade and my roster first, then add details of the league (0.5 PPR with return yardage) after:
To me: Cam Newton, Kenny Britt, Johnathan Stewart, DeAngelo Williams, Martellus Bennett
To him: Drew Brees & Julio Jones
My roster:
QB: Brees, Schaub
RB: Fred, Sproles, Jennings, Rodgers, Hardesty
WR: J. Jones, Little, Floyd, Rice, J. Simpson
TE: Rudolph
I'm 2-5 and not likely to improve to the point where I even make the playoffs, never mind win this considering the holes in my roster.
Where this becomes tricky involves keepers. We can keep 2 players going into next year, but who we keep is restricted by where they were drafted this year. I'll spare you the details, but here is where I could theoretically keep any of the players:
Cam: 10th
Britt: 6th
Stewart: 5th
DeAngelo: 6th
Black Unicorn: 9th (I already have Rudolph who would also be a 9th)
I can't keep either Brees or Julio, they were drafted too high. At this point I'm looking towards next year. I also can't keep Fred or Sproles, and Jennings would be worth a 3rd rounder so none of my RB are likely to be mine next year. While neither Stewart or DeAngelo have done much this year, if either is injured or changes teams next year they both could be at least high end RB2 if not low RB1, making both reasonable keepers at their draft position.
Considering I've pretty well given up hope this season (even with MJD going down and now finally having a decent flex in Jennings), should I do it?
