There was mixed injury news for the Jaguars on Monday.
Coach Mike Mularkey said quarterback Blaine Gabbert, who hurt his non-throwing shoulder against the Raiders, has a good chance to play on Sunday at Green Bay. But running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who injured his left foot on his first carry, will miss one game and maybe more.
Both players underwent MRI exams Monday, but Mularkey said he hadn’t seen the results and won’t make an announcement until Wednesday, when the Jaguars must issue an injury report.
“There is a good chance he will be able to play this week,” Mularkey said of Gabbert. “We will see how it is on Wednesday. Chad [Henne] will be prepared to go as he is every week. A lot of it will be up to Blaine to see how his shoulder feels.”
But Mularkey said of Jones-Drew, who was on crutches after he suffered the injury, “I can tell you he is out.”
The question is, for how long?
