My current TE is Vernon Davis but am looking to step up to Antonio Gates. The guy who has Gates at the moment wants Vincent Jackson from my team... Should I trade him? My only other good WRs are Mike Wallace and Roddy White.
Can I afford this trade?
Here is my team:
QB - Matthew Stafford
WR - Mike Wallace
WR - Vincent Jackson
WR - Roddy White
RB - Shonn Greene
RB - Willis McGahee
TE - Vernon Davis
W/R - Jamaal Charles
BN - Jay Cutler (QB)
BN - Mario Manningham (WR)
BN - Maurice Jones-Drew (RB)
BN - Ben Tate (RB)
BN - Malcom Floyd (WR)
BN - Joshua Morgan (WR
K - Mason Crosby
DEF - Seattle
DEF - Houston

No. With MJD problems, you need an RB if anything. Gates may have a bit more consistency than Davis, but not enough, and he's still injury prone. Jackson is one of those steals of the draft so far, where he was probably drafted in the 6-8 round of the draft and is performing like a WR1. Don't trade him when you already have a workable TE.
You should see if you can move Greene while he's coming off a few good scores. Maybe you can trade him + Tate to the Foster owner for one good RB.

I see Davis to Gates as a lateral move. I think you should stand pat at TE with VD.

This. First off I think you could get way more for Jackson than Gates. Second, You don't need Gates. Stay put or look to upgrade your RB stable. McGahee and Charles are solid but with the injury to MJD and the lack of production from Shonn Greene, you may need to add a little depth. Good luck!
Help with mine?
