RG3 for Rice? *WHIR*

Postby teach42 » Thu Oct 25, 2012 9:36 pm

My team:
QB Peyton Manning / RG3
RB Lynch, MJD, Turner, Spiller
WR Cruz, Mike Wallace, Colston, Maclin, Cobb

We start 2RB, 2WR and Flex. So we can run 3RB 2WR sets. Non-ppr

My team is doing great in the points, but has a losing record due to crazy matchups. I want that to stop, and want to lock in a solid playoff run. It's an auction/keeper league.

Been offered Rice for RG3 straight up.

Am I overthinking this one? I still have Manning, who I think is less of an injury risk than RG3 anyway.

Any reason not to pull the trigger here?

I'd do it, I personally the the big hit is coming for RG3 and I think selling high is a damn good strategy for him, and ray rice is a top 5 RB and a good value for RG3

Yeah, that's what I worry about too.

Anyone else want to chime in?

You've got manning, I would sell RG3 but see if maybe you can get one more player tossed in with Rice.

If you can get another throw in player, that makes the deal even better, see how bad he really wants RG3. Still, at the end of the day I'd take Rice straight up for him, Rice is a beast and very reliable.

Help with mine please? viewtopic.php?f=18&t=527654&p=3491591#p3491591

Yes definitely, you've still got manning but see if you can get another player with rice

Honestly, I'm not sure he has anyone else I want.

Charles isn't an option (keeper). Jacquizz, BGe and Hillis.
A Brown, Dez Bryant and Brandon Lloyd
Big Ben and Romo.

I'd take back Ben as a backup, but considering RG3's bye is yet to come, I doubt he'd go for it.

Maybe Lloyd? I think everyone else is a downgrade. Even Amendola (picked off waivers) has more upside than Dez or Antonio IMO

It's hard to say in a keeper league. RG3 will be a top 8 pick next year. But I would go with rice. Dudes a stud and they will figure out how to use him better during their bye week. Thanks for the help on mine

I'd do it anyway but if you can snag Antonio Brown, Lloyd or Dez then that's a great haul for a 6-10th round pick in most drafts. I guess see if he'll do Brown first with Rice, then Dez, then Lloyd
