Morris has been too consistent to sit, IMO. So, to me it comes down to the cj or Matthews. I would play cj coming off a great game with a great matchup. Matthews can also be inconsistent. Rivers is a turnover machine, which limits his value. And, I think cle wins that game!
I think based on the matchups Johnson and Matthews would be your starters. The only thing to consider is, is Johnson gonna show up this week. Pitt can have a stingy run defense and could potentially limit Morris. All three should actually put up decent numbers.
I like johnson and mathews as well. Great matchup for both and the rivers turnover problem is exactly why mathews will do good. they talked about lowering risk and making mathews more of a feature in the offensive game now.
My Main League 10 Team Standard Score League: QB: Roethlisberger, Freeman RB: R Rice, L McCoy, R Mathews, A Bradshaw, D Sproles, B Brown WR: R White, V Jackson, W Welker, S Smith TE: J Graham, K: S Gostkowski DEF: Seattle (this week)
Morris is WAY too consistent to consider benching right now.
And if you look at CJ's last few games, it's clear that he's on the right path. I know he killed everyone in the first month+, but it seems to me that he's got the upside here. I'd plug him in and hope he's back to form.
i have the same scenario with morris/mathews in a league, except that my other RB is shadeball mccoy.... and i've stuck with morris. he's been nice and consistent and even tho RG3 is a point sponge (and of course, i'm up against him) i'm really hoping morris goes off, even tho rg3 is a short pass master and he gets a lot of those rushing yards.
as for chris johnson.... welp, you know what you're in for. he's definitely got more HR/big-game threat and as we know his downside is very there.
i'd look at it like this.... depending on your matchup, if you're looking at a close one where you need for-sure 10pts from each RB, go with morris and mathews. if you need that chance of a big week at RB to have a chance in a matchup where you're like "oh [fecal matter]" and you need that 20pts/+ upside, then go with chris johnson, noting the chance he could go splat and get you 4-6pts.
so yeah, definitely morris and then if you want a higher shot at a "guaranteed" ~8-10pts i'd go matthews... if you wanna take the risk to have a 20+pts game, then go with CJ. thx for helping out on mine
