Spiller + Donald Brown for Gronk? *WHIR*

Postby JP555 » Tue Oct 30, 2012 10:22 pm

12 team 1 PPR. Would you make this trade for Gronk? I'm trying to put together an offer for this guy who has tons of BYEs this week, and basically no viable RBs to start.

My roster -
Starters
Matt Ryan
Sproles
Jennings/MJD
Larry Fitz
Julio
flex - Spiller/Ant Brown/Decker
Bench - Jon Stewart/Donald Brown/P Thomas/D amendola/Dalton

Thinking of packaging Spiller with Stewart/D or A Brown. Would you guys do this trade on either side of it? The only RB he has that can start next week is James Casey.

I think Spiller and Brown are too high a price for Gronk, who do you have at TE right now?

I guess PPR Spiller isn't worth as much as the starters D Brown and Stewart...I suppose it wouldn't be a bad offer especilly if you are hurting at TE

I think you are giving up a bit. But to get gronk from someone you probably would have to. Hernandez should be back after the teams bye week, so I don't see gronk putting up last week's numbers. But should still be the best TE.

Help me out real quick please-

I'd do it!

Of your flex players i'd start Decker pretty much every week, maybe Amendola when he's back and healthy.

So i think you're mostly giving up bench players for the best TE, plus your current TE sucks.

Only having Casey this week is crazy!! He could definitely be desperate enough to go for it!
2013 roster (10-man PPR league)

RBs: D. Martin, Sproles, L. Miller, G. Bernard
WRs: R. White, Amendola, Josh Gordon, Edelman, James Jones, Keenan Allen
TEs: Graham

I'd make the trade. It's a 2-for-1 and you're getting the best player.

You might be over paying a little, but you can afford to since you're only giving up a flex & bench player. Plus you get a huge upgrade at TE.

I would for sure do Spiller and Donald Brown for Gronk, but if I was a Gronk owner I don't think I would do this trade. Gronk is easily the top fantasy TE by 30 points in most leagues. Donald Brown is here and there and sharing touches with Ballard, and same with Spiller and Jackson behind a rough offense. However, if he accepts that trade go for it.

Thanks for the help.
Record: 5-3 - Non-PPR
QB: P. Manning
RB: M. Lynch, R. Rice, A. Morris (B. Powell, R. Grant)
WR: A.J. Green, E. Decker (M. Williams, A. Brown, D. Moore)
TE: J. Graham
K: L. Tynes
DEF: Broncos (Patriots)

This is what I say as well. I would do it in a second, and I would be starting Decker every single week from here on in.

Thanks for the help with mine.

I concur with the majority on this one; I'd do the deal.
