Week 9 - WR Start

Postby weig0132 » Tue Oct 30, 2012 10:37 pm

My clear number 1 WR this week is Larry Fitzgerald but who should I start as my number 2 WR? My options are between Steve Smith against Washington or Torrey Smith against Cleveland. Please help! I'm willing to help back.

Torrey Smith has more scores this year. Smith still has no TDs.

The tough thing is, both the Redskins and the Browns are among the worst teams on defending against WRs so far this year, Skins being 2nd in most points allowed, Browns being fifth. So when you look at it like that, the odds of Smith finally getting some touchdowns to add to his good production goes up a lot.

In my league, Smith has scored better overall than Torrey. If you are PPR, you might want to go with Smith. He is more of the gamble based on his production this year on, but if there is a match up to use him in it is this one. You can't go wrong really. It is a coin flip.

Obviously you will want to have Fitz in there, but even if you benched him, I'd say you can't go wrong with any of the two of those three starting. What does your flex option look like? Get all three in there if you can (depending on the rest of your roster).

It is a ppr by the way and I have ray rice, trent Richardson, and Darren McFadden, so between those three I like McFadden in my flex spot with the other two starting.

PPR?
I'd go Steve Smith, even though he has no TDs.
He seems to get a couple more receptions on average &
Washington right now has the WORST pass defense in the NFL through week 8, allowing:
The most passing TDs - 19!
The most passing yardage per game - 314yds/game

Plus I just dont like or trust Flacco
