Calvin Johnson & Turner for Reggie Bush & Decker? WHIR

Postby bisklimpkit » Wed Oct 31, 2012 12:36 pm

I'm in an auction keeper league and I've been offered Reggie Bush and Eric Decker for Calvin Johnson and MIchael Turner. I was debating keeping Johnson again next year ($41 of $200 budget) since all the elite talent went for over $40 this year, but I also have Branden Marshall ($22) and Julio Jones ($17) that I could keep next year. Standard scoring league, no PPR, 4 points for a passing TD. My roster is:

QB - Stafford
RB - McCoy
RB - Turner
WR - Johnson
WR - Marshall
Flex - Julio Jones
TE - Gonzalez

Bench players:
QB - Flacco
RB - Mendenhall
RB - Leshoure
RB - Ballard
RB - Alex Green
TE - Bennett

Any thoughts? Leave a link and I'll get you back, 100%.

Thanks!

Turner is a weak spot in your line up. I've been low on him since preseason. Will continue to put up duds amongst mediocre games. Having McCoy - Bush - Marshall - Jones - Decker is preferred to your current line up, and will allow you to keep Marshall and Jones next year and free up cash for an elite QB when draft time comes around. I have not jumped off the megatron bandwagon but I believe this makes your team even to slighty better now, and definitely better next year.

I would take that in a heartbeat. You upgrade at RB and you get a WR with a very easy schedule that has Peyton Manning throwing to him. You give up a spotty RB and a stud WR that has somewhat underachieved this season. You gotta take the deal IMO.

Granted Bush had a rough week last week, I'd much prefer Eric Decker and Reggie Bush over Meg-A-Tron and Turner. I just picked up Decker through a trade and from watching him (as Broncos are my favorite team) I really feel like he's going to have a great ending to a year, especially due to favorable match ups. Meg-A-Tron just doesn't have a legit No 2 (yes Young did decent) to really get the coverage off of him. And like mentioned above, Turner isn't consistent. Didn't like him last year, don't like him this year.

Thanks, all. I went ahead and did the deal. Hopefully this brings me closer to the championship.
