Make changes or stay put?

Postby ob187 » Fri Nov 02, 2012 4:20 pm

Should I trade a higher valued player in Peterson or Forte for a better combo of players (RB & WR)
    R.Bush & Wayne
    Mike Turner & Decker
    Mike Turner & Steve Smith
    Ridley & Wallace

This way I'll replace your lost RB in Peterson or Forte and significantly fill the #3 WR spot.

I'm in 3rd place at 5-3 in a 12 team, h2h, standard, non-ppr, 6pt/td
Starters - 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1flex, 1te, 1td, 1pk
QB: Matt Ryan
RB: Adrian Peterson, Matt Forte
WR: A.J. Green, Percy Harvin, Open
TE: Jimmy Graham
FX: Darren McFadden
PK: Greg Zuerlein
TD: Patriots

Bench
QB: Andrew Luck, Josh Freeman
RB: Mike Bush, Daryl Richardson, LeGarrette Blount
WR: Chris Givens, Vincent Brown

Man, I am in a 12 team league and doing all right (6-2) and your lineup is killing mine. I would stay put. Balance is important in real football but in fantasy "points is points".

Should I trade DMC & Givens for Roddy White & Pierre Thomas?

If the option is there, I would do Forte for Bush and Wayne.
Bush is putting up numbers on par with Forte, and Wayne is a straight beast.

I agree to stay put, breaking up that team would be insane. With as many points as you have with that lineup you can pick up a waiver wire WR that can give you 10 points a game and you'll b better off. Besides michael turner is barely a top 20 rb these days. Stay put.

I would defintely take that trade with ridley&wallace if you can trade forte for them. I would also entertain that offer for peterson. If its their for forte TAKE it. Also the trade with dmc and givens for roddy and pierre is risky. I just don't know how much the saints will run and roddy is good at home thats it. Keep DMC IMO

Basically all you are doing is reducing your RB value to upgrade your #3 WR depth and that's not good for you in the long run. Wayne would be a great asset but Bush hasn't run with authority in the past 3-4 weeks. Besides, Bush's asset is in the passing game and your league does not reward PPR so I don't see how Bush can help you long-term.

I would look to peddle QB Freeman to a team in dire need of a QB for a good WR to fill your #3 slot in the lineup. Your RB core is great as it is and I wouldn't look to deal any of the top 3 RB you have unless a deal comes along that is just too good to pass up. If you're 5-3 with that squad I hate to see the lineups of the two other teams sitting above you in your league standings. Be patient. ;-D
