I currently have Aaron Rodgers, but I have Josh Freeman as my backup. I'm kinda hurting in the WR catagory with DeSean Jackson, Vincent Jackson, Josh gordon and Nate Washington. I was thinking of offering a trade of maybe josh freeman and Nate Washington for Eric Decker? The kid I wanna trade with has Cam Newton for a QB with a backup of Ponder, so he needs a qb lol. Opinions?
I say offer the trade, it certainly doesn't hurt you. If I was the other owner I would certainly not accept the deal but you never know. Offer the trade, if he accepts pick up any qb for Rodgers bye week to get you through.

Sorry, but I disagree. He needs a QB BAD. Take advantage of that, and maybe you can get Decker And Newton.
As I said I think the trade would be great to get decker for freeman, and to get newton in the deal would even better. You can ask for anything you want just remember it doesn't mean the other owner will accept. If he's that desperate for a qb of course you try, but why would he give you newton too? A top pick this season. Look at your waiver wire, if there is a viable option don't hesitate filling out your team because of a backup qb. You would be giving up nothing in that trade.
I agree with walker, try and offer but people still will have more faith in cam then freeman, Its a name thing. I would try and trade freeman now well hes high, I did. To the original point, package freeman to a team with weak qb situation and target wr.
I also agree on asking for a QB in return but allow the other owner to make that decision with the option of either Cam or Ponder. And you may have to give up Gordon instead of Washington to make this work, too. It won't matter which WR you give up because they will be your #4 WR option regardless. Remember - your main target to acquire is Decker. Everything else is icing on the cake.
Offer him Freeman/Gordon for Cam (or Ponder)/Decker and see if he bites. State in your proposal that he can insert either QB of his in the deal.

I agree, almost. Don't include that you're willing to take either QB. Ask for Newton and Decker, and if says no, then make a new offer with Ponder instead. He'll probably say no to the first deal, but if you tell him you'll take less, he surely will.
