Week 9 flex plays? WHIR

1) PPR- Andre Brown, Davone Bess, Golden Tate, Jermichael Finley, or Scott Chandler?

2) PPR- Donne Avery, Andre Brown, or Donald Brown?

3) Non-PPR- Alex Green, Justin Blackmon, or Vick Ballard?

1) no-brainer: Bess. He has the most targets on the team and I don't even want to talk about Chandler or... gulp... Finley. Brown is bench fodder till Ahmad gets hurt (which I don't think will happen)

2) not even close: Avery. He'll have targets, and even in non PPR leagues he outscores Brown. We already discussed the other Brown

3) That's a little trickier, but if it were me I would go with Blackmon. I truly think Justin will have his first double-digit week of the year. Everyone's talking about Gabert coming alive, and I can see their point. Start J Blackmon. The rookie is looking a little better each week as far as fantasy PPR goes.

1) Bess. I don't love any of those options but I think Bess has the best chance to have the most targets from the available group and therefore has the most upside.

2) Avery. I normally like RBs for the flex as they're typically more involved than WR/TE but with Brown in a timeshare with Ballard and facing a surprisingly stout Dolphins run DEF, I like Avery to get a bunch of targets and pay off with either 60-70+ yds or a TD. Non-PPR, I'd probably go with Brown but with PPR I like Avery.

3) I'd actually roll with Green here. While he hasn't been lighting things up, he is still getting 15-20+ touches per game and therefore has a higher potential to put up points with a long run or TD. Blackmon had a decent game last week but I'd want to see that happen with a bit more consistency before starting him. I know Green doesn't have a great match-up vs Arizona, but I still think he has the highest upside out of the three options you have.
