Should commissioners adjust rosters

In the yahoo league that I am commissioner of:

A team owner changed defenses for his bye week, then didn't insert the team Def into his lineup, leaving an open slot in his roster. I posted a message to him and it didn't get changed. As commissioner, should I have inserted the team D for him.

My practice has been never to adjust rosters, its their responsibility. What do you think?

Up to each owner to ensure his lineup is properly set, commish should not adjust lineups.

Agree with Stomperrob. The fact that you send an email message about it is already more than you had to do.

Yeah you don't have to babysit to ensure people set lineups. If they don't that's their fault.

Well, I didnt put in the Def and he lost by 4. If the Def had been in he wouldve won by 7.
Because my team was involved, you're help determined my decision. Thanks!

Well it's certainly not your responsibility to ensure that he beats you, lol! I'd say it's a costly reminder for him in the future to pay attention to his lineup.

yes do not touch their lineups. that will open up yourself in future cases when you woudlnt normally do it. someone can claim that you did it for player X, why not for me.

cold hard rule never to adjust rosters unless asked to will keep everyone happy
