Alright guys hear me out on this one. I'm currently tied for 1st place in my 12 man league with a 6-3 record. I've done a good bit of trading this year and have been the most active team in the league, and it has worked pretty well.
I am in trade talks to try and get Drew Brees (I'm a Saints fan so everyone knows I want him). I obviously would like him on my team and know they will be airing it out, but don't want to overpay for him. Here's my roster in a 12 man non ppr, non keeper league.
QB- Peyton Manning, Joe Flacco
RB- Jamaal Charles, Chris Johnson, Alfred Morris, Fred Jackson, Rashard Mendenhall
WR- Eric Decker, Mike Wallace, Lance Moore, Andre Roberts
TE- Vernon Davis, Brandon Myers
D/ST- Ravens, Jets
IDP- Curtis Lofton
K- Lawrence Tynes
Here's the trade proposals:
Peyton Manning
Chris Johnson
for
Drew Brees
Hakeem Nicks
I also could probably get:
Manning
Johnson
for
Drew Brees
Darren Mcfadden (Just not sure with the injury, but I feel like he'll be back)
So are either of these trades worth it? Do you think it would be wise to sell CJ2K while he is high, or will he continue this play? Here's is what I suppose my lineup would look like.
QB- Drew Brees
RB1- Jamaal Charles
RB2- Alfred Morris (Except for this week with his bye)
WR1- Eric Decker
WR2- Mike Wallace
TE- Vernon Davis
WRT- Hakeem Nicks or Darren Mcfadden (after injury)
Will this be worth it? I've always been a guy to start a RB in the flex rather than a WR, so starting Nicks would be new for me. I also am a little leary of his performance coming back from injury.
*EDIT NOTE- I also have been saving my waiver position and am currently sitting at number 1, so I would be able to pick up some depth, particularly at RB, should it become available
