Should I be going after McCoy? WHIR

Postby farrell_i » Wed Nov 07, 2012 6:46 pm

Wondering if I should be making an aggressive move to get LeSean McCoy. My team below:

Non-PPR. Standard
Starters:
QB: Matt Ryan
RB: McFadden, Forte, Charles, Dwyer, J. Stewart, Beanie
WR: Julio, Wayne, Josh Gordon, Denarius Moore, Amendola
TE: Jimmy Graham
D: Texans
K: Gostkowski

The guy who has McCoy has a bad team and is losing:

QB: Romo
RB: F Jackson, McCoy, McGahee, Pierre T
WR: Dez, Cruz, Shorts,
TE: Miller, Gates
D: 49ers
K: Tynes

What do you guys think of these trades?

Charles & Julio for Dez and McCoy
Charles, Beanie, Amendola for McCoy

I'd offer him the second trade.....would be fantastic for you since you're just giving up Charles (inconsistent) and 2 others who often ride your bench in exchange for a stud RB.

I think the first trade costs you too much. I'm a Dez owner, but he's a huge downgrade from Julio----so much so that I don't think the gain from McCoy is enough to make your team better.

I would certainly do the 2nd trade. The 1st leaves you pretty thin at WR. Is dropping from Julio to D.Moore or Gordon worth the upgrade from Charles to McCoy. Not sure I really think so.

Try Charles, Beanie, and Amendola first. If that does not work, try the first offer.
