Two QB, 0.5 PPR: Trade RGIII for Megatron? (WHIR)

Postby nyr199435 » Tue Nov 13, 2012 12:33 pm

Here is my team: 0.5 PPR, two QB
QB: Aaron Rodgers
WR: Brandon Lloyd
WR: Torrey Smith
RB: Jamaal Charles
RB: Ryan Mathews
TE: Jimmy Graham
W/T: Randall Cobb
W/R: Fred Jackson
BN: Titus Young, Brandon Myers, Russell Wilson, Jake Locker, MJD

I had Wilson and Locker in for Week 10, and miraculously enough I managed to win without Rodgers/RGIII. Anyway, someone sent me the following offer:
I give: RGIII
I get: Calvin Johnson

WR is my weakest position, but I'd go from having the best QB tandem in the league to alternating between Locker/Wilson for the QB2 slot based on matchups. I guess I should turn this one down right? The only thing to consider is how valuable Megatron is in the 0.5 PPR format, and if Locker/Wilson can get me a reasonable amount of points instead of RGIII it might be worth it...

Thanks and leave your link!!

Tempting offer but I would pass on that deal.

Meggy would be a nice asset to your weakest position on your roster but having to decide between Wilson and Locker from here on out will hurt you in more ways than Meggy can actually help. Wilson has away games in 3 of the next 4 games on schedule and his QB rating in away games is abysmal if you have to rely on him as your starting #2 QB.

Locker has been injured twice this season and his non-throwing shoulder has a huge bullseye stamped all over it for opposing defenses. If Locker goes down again anytime soon, you will have to rely on Wilson and his away game heroics. :-P I would pass and stay with RGIII.
