Trade: CJ for Marshall

12-team PPR

Getting WR Marshall
Sending RB Chris Johnson

Note: I picked up CJ from waiver wire week 4 when he was down in the dumps and can turn it into the a top-3 PPR WR.

My current roster at affected positions (can play 2 WR, 2 RB):
WR Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, Shorts, Crabtree
RB: Forte, Murray, MJD

I also have a Flex (TE/WR) spot, so technically I can play 3 of those WR's (ie, Jones, Bryant, Marshall).

I'm hurting at RB until Murray or MJB come back, but i'm going to try and make another deal for hold-over RB and maybe for a QB or TE. My current QB's are Schaub/Rivers and TE is Gates.

Thanks for your feedback!!

I would only do it if you can pick a temporary like Reece off the WW to fill in until one of teh other two come back. Otherwaise stay put.

Understand the RB depth concerns, but CJ is on bye this week, so i'm screwed either way for this week and it looks like Murray is getting closer to returning (maybe next week?).

I'm one game out of the playoffs with 3 to go. Either way i'm hurting at RB this week and I need the win. Plus CJ still has to face Houston the last week (14) before playoffs. So 2 of the 3 weeks to get into the playoffs he's a non-factor.

That's at least my thinking...

Any other thoughts? This is a deal that will lead to others if I make it.

Thanks

I don't think you can afford to do it. Johnson has been one of the best the past few weeks. You would almost have to hang on to him, as enticing as Brandon Marshall is. Nevermind whether or not CJ was a waiver wire add...the fact is he's getting you points now that other RBs can't get you. Marshall is an upgrade over Julio and Dez, but not enough to warrant giving up a top RB, which are like diamonds this year in fantasy.
