Trading Andrew Luck advice (WHIR)......

My keeper league is a heavy QB league. QB is always the #1 scorer.

I have Brady and Luck. We only start 1QB

Trade deadline is tomorrow. People want Luck BAD for the future (people are giving up throwing in the towel for the year looking to improve for next year)

Luck is going to be a stud (maybe #1 overall in this league). So the trades i'm getting are undervalued.

I need a RB cause we start 3 and I have Spiller, Murray and Ivory/Michael Bush (crap)

the offers are:

Luck for Sproles

and

Luck for Jamaal Charles and Navarro Bowman (defense tackle pts 1.5 each) + me giving up a 3rd rd next year (5 man keeper so 3rd round is more like a 7th rd)

I feel this is undervalued for Luck in our league. But if I want to make a run i need a RB/more points. i'm 1 back in the division.

Look, you might not feel like you're getting value, but Luck is still raw and a gamble. If you can get Charles and someone else who will help you improve, then do it. Otherwise, Luck rides pine the rest of the year. As you approach the Playoffs, you need to strengthen your team, and Charles has a really favourable Playoff schedule... REALLY favourable.

I like the 2nd deal as well. Luck's had a great year but he isn't a sure thing whereas Charles has somewhat of a track record. Like the previous post said when your making the playoff push you want to fill out your lineup with solid players and the best way to do that is trade valuable depth.

I would do the second deal, but I'm not going to pretend like I know much about keeper league dynamics.

Yeah it is tough to trade QBs in 1 QB leagues because there are so many solid options that people don't feel the need to give up a stud at another position when they have a guy they like, especially in only a 5 player keeper league. With that being said, I would def. do the second trade. You still have Brady who should be elite for 3+ more years. Charles is a huge upgrade for you at flex and Bowman is a beast.

If you really want to get a stud RB, try dangling Tom Brady out there and see if you can get someone better than Charles, and keep Luck. That is honestly the way I would go because Luck will be as good as Brady very soon (although that is a debate for another thread).
