Is Heath Miller still a safe start with Ben out or should I pick up Pettigrew off waivers and start him against GB. Need the points this week.

Good question.
Miller will definitely be less effective - you would expect - with Leftwhich th r o w I n g t h e b a l l . . . . You know, because his release is slower than it took to type that sentence. That being staid, you figure he'll still be looking to Miller on check downs, which he is sure to have a few times. On the other hand, Pettigrew is the hot hand after reaching pay dirt last week (finally), but up against a top ten D vs TEs, I would still go with Miller, but strictly on match-ups, if that makes sense. Plus, Big Ben doesn't strike me as a guy who will stay away very long if at all possible (remember him playing through the high ankle sprain last year?), so I feel Miller remains the more permanent choice for the remaining 6-7 weeks of your season.

My thoughts are that the Steelers knew when ben went down that Leftwich was the last QB they had active. I believe they were in more of a protection mode with Miller blocking more. At the end of the game that loosened a bit but Leftwich still couldnt find the wide open Miller. I believe his stats will drop to the normal Miller we have seen year after year. Roth developed some nice rapport with him which explains the great season but Leftwich isnt using Miller as an outlet. I think it will improve but he wont be the guy you hoped he was becoming (top 5 TE)
