First of all, I have never played on Foxsports.com before this year. The site sucks quite a bit, so I don't want to jump to any conclusions. However, this is my first time playing with these particular guys as well.
I'll try to make this short. 12 Team League, not using divisions for the playoffs. 6 teams make the playoffs, with 2 first round BYEs for #1 and #2 seed. Tiebreaker is H2H record followed by total points. Currently the #1 guy is 8-2, with 4 guys tied at 7-3. All of the 7-3 players have played eachother once. Team A and B are both 2-1 H2H within the 7-3 crowd. Team C and D are both 1-2.
When I look at the "Standings" page, Team A is #2, B is #3, C is #4, and D is #5. This makes sense because A has more total points than B, and C has more total points than D.
However, when I go to the projected playoff bracket, D is #2, A is #3, B is #4, and C is #5. Basically in the bracket, Team D has leapfrogged everyone to the #2 seed. Team D happens to be the commissioner, and this #2 seed would give him a first round BYE if things ended right now.
I haven't said anything to the league for a few reasons.
A) FoxSports sucks. I don't doubt that this could be a site issue. However, so far I have not seen any scoring issues.
B) There are still 3 regular season weeks left. A few of the 7-3 teams are playing eachother before its all over. Its more than likely that this playoff picture will change before its all said and done.
C) I honestly would just really like to think this guy wouldn't do that. I've worked with these guys for a few months now, and he doesn't seem like the guy that would do a manual bracket change when the standings clearly say something different.
I sent an email to Foxsports.com support to see if they can clarify what's going on. Any thoughts or anyone that has similar experience would be appreciated. I'm Team B in this scenario by the way.
