MJD and Aaron Rogers for Newton and ray Rice..

Postby Adamu » Fri Nov 16, 2012 2:14 am

I have a trade offer of MJD and Aaron Rogers for Newton and ray Rice.. I have the latter two... Do it? Or Don't do it?? Standard scoring, non ppr keeper league. Probably miss the playoffs this year so looking at long term value

Thanks for a quick response guys!

I would probably do it but it's tough.

I'm not sure how your keeper system is set up but if you are keeping whichever 2 you have regardless, then I think you take it.

I like to build my team around the QB although I know many like to do it around a RB. I would like to have Rodgers because you can count on him to give you numbers. If MJD can come back and continue like he had been then you win easily. On the other hand Rice is about as consistent as they come and If newton could get things straight in the offseason and be the Cam of last year then that side wins. Personally I would take the Rodgers side, but I understand an argument for the other.

I know, I can't make a decsicion... Keeper is set up as: QB, RB, WR + rookie flex

Right now I'd be keeping Newton, Fitzgerald, R Rice, D Martin if trade was made, I'd sub out Rogers and MJD. Big win for me if MJD gets resigned or lands a big deal somewhere else, but I know RB lifespan isn't elite for long and rice is 2 yrs younger than MJD. That combined with Newton potentially breaking the sophomore slump next yr makes it crystal ball work... Guess I need a psychic, not an FF forum ;-)
