I would go with Newton, although I think Luck is the safer option.

I would go with Luck. Yes, Cam has a good matchup and his stats have been getting better. But, he is still prone to lots of mistakes.

To me the ceiling is the same, the matchup is about the same. But, Luck's floor is higher than Cam.

I'd probably play Luck.

anyone else care to chime in? I tend to go with the home team in close decisions. Foxborough is a tough place to play

I have the same decision to make and I'm going with Newton for the same reasons you might, home game... however the last 5 rookie QBs that have started against Belicheck's Pats have gone 4-1. Last one was Russell Wilson who Threw for 293 yds, 3 tds and a 133.7 QB rating. Last time Newton faced Tampa at home he went off, he had 3 pass tds and 1 rushing td. Tough decision.
