Need Help with WW Pickups! WHIR!

Postby JRM4833 » Tue Nov 20, 2012 10:43 am

I currently have the 4th WW priority in a $$ league, although at least 2 teams above me on the list are not very active. My team:

QB:
RB: Rice, Ridley, Matthews, Reece, Mendenhall, Jennings (dumping)
WR: V. Jackson, S. Smith, Amendola, Crabtree
TE: Graham
K: Gould
D: Seattle

In addition to Jennings, I am dumping Cincy's D and Foles (ugh!). I really like Hillman but do I need him?

Hillman
Parmele
Alexander
Blackmon
Hilton (I dropped him Sunday morning to pick up Foles after I lost out on Rivers)

I'm just very torn on how to move forward with my team. As it is, I already have problems every week deciding which RB to start. In order to pick up Reece this week, I dropped the serviceable Vick Ballard who just wasn't making the cut for me. WHIR.
When in doubt, punt!

Do you have a flex position in your lineup? And I assume this is a keeper league with $$$ involved?

We do have a flex. I've been starting 3 RBs and 3 WRs. And no, it is not a keeper league.

Ok, I would have both Rice and Ridley as my starting RB's with Reece in my one Flex. I would look to grab Hillman just to have him for insurance for later on (especially if you go to the playoffs). You could use another WR for depth and would target D.Alexander first, T.Hilton second and J.Blackmon third in waiver claims WR-wise. But would try to pick up Hillman first overall.

I hate to not give original advice, but I agree with Mean One's post completely. You should be in great shape with Ridley/Rice as starting RBs and Reece is solid as a flex until DMC comes back. Grabbing Hillman is smart as insurance, plus he could be a viable Flex in place of Reece once DMC returns.

Also, grabbing D. Alexander seems to be a great move as it looks like he'll be heavily involved in SD's offense going forward, and adding would provide depth at WR for you.

Thanks for your help with mine.
