McCoy and V-Jax for Rice and D-Jax *WHIR*

Postby TBA » Wed Nov 21, 2012 11:22 am

Man, when I thought my team was set McCoy got a concussion.

Do you think I should trade LeSean McCoy + Bryce Brown + Vincent Jackson for Ray Rice + DeSean Jackson?

Its a 14-team non-PPR keeper league. We keep 4 players for the next season.

I know Rice has a tough schedule and it's a huge dropoff from V-Jax to D-Jax, but I'm considering it because Rice just doesnt get injured.

My team (* keepers):

QB: Matt Ryan*
WR: Calvin Johnson*, Eric Decker, Vincent Jackson
RB: Adrian Peterson*, LeSean MCCoy*
TE: Jermaine Gresham
Bench: Dwayne Bowe, Martellus Bennett, Toby Gerhart, Bryce Brown, Kendall Hunter

Thanks

I would do this trade. Rice's worth is higher than McCoy and Bryce combined, as you know. It's a HUGE drop off from Vincent Jackson to DJAx, as I see Dwayne Bowe as more profitable than DJax; but here's how I see your team after this trade:

QB Matt Ryan
RB1 Adrian Peterson
RB 2 Ray Rice
WR1 Calvin Johnson
WR2 Eric Decker
TE Jermain Gresham
Flex Dwayne Bowe

You'd be filthy rich at RB (#2 and #3 overall going forwrad, imo), you'd still be really nice at WR, and Bowe would be your flex. Is there anyone else on his team you could use as a flex that's more valuable than DJax? Even if not, this trade is worth getting Rice. You'd still have a disgustingly nice team.

Ya, that's probably not going to happen, but it would be WAY better than DJax. The time to grab Dez (if he was on the block) was two weeks ago when he was shaky. He's been solid the last two weeks, so his value is up. I mean, try it for sure. You never know. Like I said, I still think it's worth it because PHI is a mess right now, and you never know how this concussion will affect McCoy going forward. This guy you're trading with is nuts if he goes for the trade. He's COMPLETELY out to lunch if he goes for Dez also.

What about this?

McCoy + Bryce + VJax + Bowe
for
Rice + Dez

He might go for this, and if he does, this happens:
You get a big upgrade at RB and you essentially upgrade from Bowe to Dez for your flex. Still lose VJax, but it's a more valuable deal for you.
