In my dynasty league I was offered Welker for Wallace. I'm 7-4 and look to be playoff bound. PPR league. Welker could give me a boost this year, but Wallace is a lot younger. Both have uncertain futures in their organizations. Thoughts?
My lineup: QB- Newton RB- Lynch, Mendenhall WR- Wallace, SSmith Flex: Floyd, Lafell TE- Graham DEF- Houston
Well, I think you're right that Welker would give you a boost this year. Wallace doesn't have Ben throwing to him right now, and that hurts his value as well.
If you think you have a legitimate shot at winning it all, I'd probably do the trade, but if it's kind of a long shot or iffy, I'd ride it out with Wallace as I think he has more long term value.

agree with this, long term I like Wallace, this year Welker

Welker for sure. Look at his numbers when Gronkowski is out. Wallance doesn't have big bed throwing and thats huge. IMO welker is the most talented receiver on the patriots and Brady looks his way A LOT when gronkowski is out. Good luck!

I'm going to go against the tide and say go with Mike Wallace. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, but here goes: Wallace is faster than Welker (and almost anyone else in the NFL). He's also 5 years younger. Welker is past his prime and not on-target with his 9-TD season production from last year. Who knows what it will be like next year. PIT's QB situation isn't a question for next season: it's Big Ben again, and it should be. And remember Brady (35) is 5 older than Roethlisberger (30); and will NE really be able to get a high enough draft pick to replace him when it's time for his retirement? That may be 3 or 4 years away, but still something to consider. Finally, Wallace is on-schedule to come close to, if not match, his career-high 10 TD's (2010 season), and watching him takes your breath away. He's just so incredibly fast.
