Edelman available on FA, drop Brown, Moss, Garcon?

Postby petrieslastword » Wed Nov 21, 2012 3:24 pm

I'm n a PPR league and have the following WR/RB currently:

Megatron, Wayne, Amendola, Alexander, Moss, Garcon

Gore, Matthews, Wells, Brown, Parmele

Edelman made it through Waivers and is available as a FA. Do you think it's worth dropping any of my other options for him, or not?

Thank you!

I think I'd drop Moss for him. If Garcon starts to get more healthy and take more touches over the coming weeks Moss will become more and more irrelevant. Meanwhile, Edelman saw more snaps than Lloyd and had a monster day, especially in PPR formats. With Gronk out and Edelman proving capable, you're looking at a 1-2 punch with him and Welker for the Patriots the rest of the year. Moss hasn't been that great anyway, and if Garcon pans out you won't miss Moss one bit. I think I'd be okay parting with Moss to roll the dice on Edelman.

You've got great starters in Megatron/Wayne/Amendola/Alexander, so it's not exactly a high-stakes decision and it's worth the risk IMO.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I have 4 almost "must-play" receivers, so the risk on Edelman seems minimal.

I see it being pretty low risk to drop Moss.

I'd drop Moss for Edelman. If Garcon comes back, he will diminish the value of Moss.
