Harvin/Julio dilemma (WHIR)

Postby Delhomme17 » Thu Nov 22, 2012 2:36 pm

So I have a bit of a conundrum. I have Wayne locked in at one of my WR spots, but I'm not sure what do do about the other two. I have Julio, Harvin, Edelman, and Steve Smith. Right now, it's looking like Julio will play and Harvin will not, effectively creating a situation where I have to choose between Edelman and Smith to replace Harvin. I figure that I'd rather have Edelman go this week since the Panthers have been so wildly inconsistent. Starting Edelman also gives me the opportunity to start Smith on Sunday if BOTH Harvin and Jones can't play. If I don't start Edelman tonight and both are scratches, I have to go to the waiver wire for a WR3. If both Harvin and Jones play, I'll start one at WR, flex the other, and bench either Ballard or Hillman (my RB2 and flex).

Is this the right thought process? I really need a win this week.

Steve Smith isn't even in this conversation.

Edelman is certainly the safe play, and he's coming off a big week. He is now the official WR2 in NE, and Gronk is out. With Cromartie lining up against Welker on 2-out sets and Lloyd on 3-out sets, I'd say Edelman is the smart play for you. If Julio or Percy start and have big games, at least you played it safe; because the other way, you're stuck with no points at all. Go with Edelman. All the best of luck to ya!

I agree with edleman. With gronk out and ahern iffy edleman should have an opportunity to work in the middle of the field.
