Drop Amendola in a PPR? WHIR

Postby BearsFan65 » Fri Nov 23, 2012 12:19 am

12 team PPR. Friday is the trade deadline, and it looks like I'm not going to be able to make a deal for a RB. My roster:

QB - Stafford, Romo
RB - McCoy, Sproles, Reece
WR - Harvin, Wayne, Cobb, Bryant, Amendola
TE - Witten
DST - Seattle
K - Tynes

I'm loaded at WR (we start 3, no flex), but thin at RB with McCoy concussed. No idea if he comes back for week 13. I'm starting Sproles and Reece this week and with DMC still out I'm ok there. But what to do if McCoy still isn't cleared to play for week 13? I don't care much for Bryce Brown or Parmele, their gigs are probably over when McCoy and MJD return. Brown maybe has some value as a cuff for McCoy, but the Philly offense is a train wreck, and McCoy only has value because he's that good. Ballard is the only multi-week value I see out there. Wells and Starks also available. If I do drop a player, does it really have to be Amendola? Can't believe it, but he's the least valuable WR I have. Can't drop a QB because I don't trust either of them as an every week start. I'm in 4th place with the second highest total points, so getting into the waiver line after this week will leave me with not much.

Is this a wait and see scenario, or should I actually be thinking about dropping Amendola for Ballard or someone else? The idea of someone getting Amendola for free just kills me. Help? WHIR, thanks!

I would wait and see. Both of your Backs held down the fort and Amendola has value in a PPR. Harvin has not been cleared yet and if any of your other WR get hurt you would be in trouble. I think their will be options later in the week if those guys are still there now.

I'd drop Cobb before Amendola with it being PPR and Jennings being due back this week
14 Team 5 pts per 5 receptions

QB- Romo, Freeman, Manuel
RB- Sproles, J Bell, Bernard, W McGahee
WR - Megatron, D Bryant, V Brown, A Jeffery, R Randle, P Harvin(IR)
TE- J Graham, Sudfeld
K- Hartley
DST - Dallas
