Veto this trade?

Postby dirtybirds33 » Wed Nov 28, 2012 5:11 am

Trade is:

Team 1 gives: Brandon Marshall, Mike Wallace, larry Fitzgerald, Danario Alexander

Team 2 gives: AJ Green, Andre Johnson, Hakeem Nicks, Antonio Brown.

Team 1 is 10-2 and clinched playoffs, team 2 is 3-9 and is officially out of playoffs.

I am leaning towards a veto, it doesn't seem that team 2 is upgraded at all.

Nope. If there's no collusion or sabotage, then there's no veto!

But to break it down further:

Marshall = AJ Green
Wallace < Nicks (although it's close when Big Ben returns)
Andre Johnson = Larry Fitzgerald
Danario Alexander > Antonio Brown

Seems pretty even to me. That's the thing with trades, everyone values them differently. The fact that one team is destined for the playoffs and another is not, shouldn't make a difference. If you worried about that sort of thing, then institute a trade deadline. In my league, the trade deadline hit last week.

Absolutely not! Your positive opinion of whether a team seems to improve is not necessary for other people to trade.

I agree with the other posters, let the trade be.

Vetoes should only be used for collusion and as sparingly as possible.

couldn't have said it better. if both owners like the trade then there's nothing wrong with that one.

you shouldnt be allowing trades this late in the season. that allows for teams that are out of it to make trades that you dont like. best next year to move up the trade deadline
