Scott Chandler or Ben Watson?

Postby taw856 » Tue Dec 04, 2012 1:40 pm

Had Gronk. Have streamed TEs the last two weeks with him gone.

The list of possible replacement options at TE is basically bare bones: Scott Chandler (6.3 ppg and currently on my roster), Brandon Pettigrew (5.8), Marcedes Lewis (5.3), Dallas Clark (4.8), Jacob Tamme (4.7), Dwayne Allen (4.6), Ben Watson (4.3) and worse...

Ben Watson plays Washington (10.3 ppg allowed to TE) and Denver (10.1) in Wk. 15 and 16, the two worst defenses against TEs in the league by ESPN standard scoring. By the time you get to the seventh worst defense against TEs, the points allowed average is already down to 7.8.

In short, there's arguably a bigger difference in the remaining opponents these TEs play than the TEs themselves. That said, this deep into the TE pool, I can also see the argument for just going with Chandler as the most consistent option.

So... what do you think?

Out of what's on the table, who would you want at TE in your fantasy playoffs?

I think the way things have been going lately, I'd go with Dallas Clark. He's seeing an uptick in production and I believe in week 16 the Bucs play the Saints, so if you can make it there, that might be quite the payoff.
