Trade Foster/White for AJ Green/Murray/Cobb?

Postby e5volcano » Sun Dec 09, 2012 8:33 pm

Trade deadline this week with 4 team playoffs starting next.
I am already secured spot but my team has performed poorly last and this week.
Roster and scoring info in my signature, my WRs arent that good and I do have couple hot RBs.

So I am thinking of doing this trade
I give:
Arian Foster
Roddy White

I receive:
AJ Green
Demarco Murray
Randall Cobb

Would you do this?,
8 Team League, standard scoring, no PPR/PPC. Flex=RB, WR, TE
QB: Brady
RB: Foster
RB: Ridley
WR: White
WR: TY Hilton
FLEX: Bryce Brown
D/ST: 49ers
K: Gostowski
BN: Moreno, Decker,Romo, Patriots D, Myers ,Texans D, Gronk

Short Answer : YES.

Foster is awesome, but Murray an the Cowboys might be heating up at the right time. There has to be a concern that, in order to preserve Foster, the Texans either sit Foster or severely limit his carries as we enter the FF playoffs. I swear, NFL Head Coaches have no respect for FF head coaches. :/

On the other hand, you trade White for AJG and Cobb...both of whom are WRs who could outscore White on any given week. BTW, White may be sat or may deal with limited reps bc of NFL implications as well.

I see it as a great trade for you. You trade two great FF players, who might not help you in the FF playoffs, for three talented FF players who WILL (barring injury..Im looking at your Demarco Murray)

I am torn on this one. Part of me says 'stick with what got you here' but the other part says 'that trade is awesome! Do it now!' Overall, I think you get more points after the trade though. The RB position takes a hit in terms of consistency as foster ALWAYS puts up a TD and some yardage but he hasn't had a HUGE game in a while where demarco has that potential. You get a huge boost to your WR's though so it seems worth it.

I guess I'm saying go for it.
