WHIR - Final 4 - Excellent Depth - Tough Choices!

Postby CGHitman14 » Wed Dec 12, 2012 8:50 pm

I'm in a HALF (.5) PPR League. We have a FLEX spot that can start a WR/RB/TE.

I get to choose between two late season pickups that have flourished the past few weeks.

WR - D. Alexander
RB - K. Moreno

Thoughts?

I also picked up the Dolphins defense for this week against the poor Jags offense. My typically stellar 49ers are up against the Pats.

Dolphins or 49ers?
Alexander or Moreno?

I like the Dolphins, the Patriots just torched the Texans and while the Niners are a much better defense then the Texans, I think the Patriots are just that good right now. The Pats are also very good at taking care of the ball and Brady doesnt take sacks.

For your flex, I think its more a question of where you think you stand. If you think you just need a solid number then I'd say Moreno, the Ravens arent the great defense of years past and can be run on. If you think you need max points then I'd say go with Alexander, I think his floor is lower, but I also think his ceiling is higher then Moreno as Alexander is more apt to score since the Broncos don't like to run in the redzone. I do really like Alexander and its pretty tough to sit him right now, but Moreno will catch balls out of the back field and get his 15-20 carries so I think his total yardage will be higher.

help with mine?

Even if it is the 49ers, I wouldn't take any D against the pats right now, so go with my dolphins.

As for Moreno or Alexander, it's a toss-up as both have performed well, but go with Moreno as he's guarenteed touches.

I'd go Dolphins D right here...no way im playing any defense against the Patriots right now.

As for your flex, that is a very hard issue. I have Alexander in one of my leagues (link below, help pls! LOL) and I'm not sure how to use him. Knowshon balled out last week, but he was playing the RAIDERS. They don't scare anyone. The Ravens have also not been terribly bad against the run (like the Raiders). This is tough.

Going on gut, I say Moreno in your situation.

Good luck!

help pls,
