Wk15 D/ST: Scraping the Barrel - WHIR 100%

Postby leffe186 » Fri Dec 14, 2012 12:24 pm

Hi,

Standard scoring D/ST (I think), deep league (18 teams) so not much left on the wire. I'm up against a guy for the third time this year - we're 1-1. He has the Texans D, and the D/ST matchup was one major reason why I lost to him. Who would you play this week? I have:

Browns vs Wsh (RG3 likely to play)
Panthers @ SD

These are the Ds on the wire:

Steelers @ Dal
Cowboys vs Steelers
Chiefs @ Oak
Raiders vs Chiefs
Redskins @ Cle
Jags @ Mia
Saints....naah.

Don't really fancy any of them, and the Steelers are likely to be picked up before I can grab them anyway. Which two would you consider?

from those choices I would say Steelers @ Cowboys. Romo can be a turn over machine!

Yeah, they have injuries, but I think I may try to pick them up. However, I'm expecting to get beaten to them on the wire. Who would you go for then?

Raiders at home vs the Chiefs sounds tasty. Anyone vs the Chiefs is tempting

Pittsburg as there will certainly be plenty of sacks and probably a couple of picks..

If you can't grab the Steelers pick-up the Raiders. They aren't good, but the Chiefs are really bad. Even if J Charles reaches the endzone, it's usually only once per game.

Steelers for sure (if they are available)...of the rest...I guess I like the tasty matchup for the Raiders! Just thinking...would Miami be available (I picked them up in one of my leagues for this week)?

No - that's literally the whole wire! It's a big league, and most people have picked up an extra D/ST for the playoffs as insurance. I'd usually try to pick up the team against the Chiefs, but the Raiders are just so bad. What do you think about the Redskins? Not only do they have Weeden this week (decent chance of an interception) but they also have the Eagles the week after.
