TE Starter WHIR

Postby DAtaris17 » Fri Dec 21, 2012 10:18 pm

Championship week TE. I actually have this exact same trio to decide between in both of my championships:

Tony Scheffler vs. Atlanta
Antonio Gates @ NYJ
Brandon Myers @ Car

Secondarily, my other dilemmas are the following, but I had kind of already decided on Amendola and Murray/Knowshon, let me know if I'm crazy:

WR - Danny Amendola @ TB
RB - DeMarco Murray vs. NO
W/R - Knowshon Moreno vs. Cle
BN - Stevan Ridley @ Jac
BN - Alfred Morris @ Phi
BN - Marques Colston @ Dal

Post a link to your thread, I'd be happy to help in return.

Thanks for helping with mine. As for your TE question, I'd play Gates. He is easily the best choice of those 3.

Yeah I'd go with Gates this week because Floyd is out, and Alexander will be covered by Cromartie... Gates should thus be heavily targeted.

As for your other spots...... It's tough to bench Alfred Morris right now, he's been so good of late. I don't think you can bench Murray against NO, he's almost guaranteed to score at least once and surpass 100 total yards, and Knowshon has been getting a TON of touches. Problem is the Cleveland D is solid. I'd honestly flip a coin between Knowshon and Morris, but I personally would lean towards Morris (and this comes from a UGA fan who loves Moreno).

Help with mine?

Gates all the way. Much better play then the other two. I also think the rest of your lineup is pretty good. I would probably start Morris over Moreno and Murray though. Tough to say who is going to be the better play out of those 2 guys. Broncos could get up early and run alot giving Moreno the slight edge imo.

Thanks for your help. I would go with Gates as well, DX will be covered by Cromartie and Rivers will need someone to throw to.

Thanks for helping with mine....

Gates is probably your best option at TE, he should get plenty of targets. I like Amendola/know more/Murray combo, start them with confidence.

Three years ago Gates is hands down the answer, but there o-line is a mess and who knows which team will show up. I think I'd start Myers at Carolina. Oakland will be throwing a ton, most likely be trailing and Carolinas defense isnt stellar giving him the opportunities. Good luck.

I like Gates here even though Scheffler could be sneaky good with Pettigrew out. Your starters are good but I agree with some of the others its hard to sit Morris right now. I'd possibly play him over Murray.

I agree with some of the other posters. Go w/ Gates. I'm also tempted for Morris over Moreno. I just think that the Redskins will hand the ball of to him more now than ever to protect RGIII.
