Blackmon, Hilton, Maclin, B. Gibson, or Britt? WHIR

Very tough choice here for my last WR spot. Non-PPR league.

Britt sucked last week (though i fortunately didn't need his points). Much better matchup against GB, as Locker will have to throw a LOT.

Hilton seems to play great when on my bench, and put up a dud when I start him. With Avery healthy, he needs a big play or 2 to be worth the start. Colts could go up early against KC and abandon the pass.

Maclin is inconsistent but seems to be developing a rapport with Foles. Washington's secondary sucks.

Blackmon has been heavily targeted the last few weeks, but Shorts is healthier now and will get the bulk of the looks from Henne methinks. NE is a good matchup though.

Gibson has looked good since he got back from injury, and has a favorable matchup as well.

It's between Maclin and Blackmon, IMO. I'd go Maclin. With Shorts back, maybe Blackmon's targets take a hit a little bit and Maclin's been heavily targeted (and productive) since DeSean Jackson went down.

I like Blackmon. Jags will have to pass alot against NE and they will need someone else besides Shorts. Best play in terms of matchup/upside.

I like Maclin. He has played well over the past couple of weeks and I can see him making a few big plays against the skins suspect secondary. He's also the best wr on his team unlike your other options with the exception of Britt but I don't trust him.

With that being said these are all ok/decent wr 3 options and I'd go with my gut. If I had to rank them it would be in this order.

1) Maclin
2) Hilton
3) Blackmon
4) Britt
5) Gibson

Thanks for the post. I looked to pick up Maclin as he seems to have a good rapport with Foley, but I was too late. I'd roll with him!

UPDATE: Thanks for the help so far guys... I was high on Maclin coming into the season, but he burned me a lot early on and now it is hard to trust him.

That said, my priority is putting a guy in this slot who has the lowest downside. I think my team is stronger than the guy I'm facing in the 'ship (he was the 6th seed, pulled off 2 straight upsets w/ the Seattle D and DeAngelo Williams), so I want to make sure that I don't have a 4 point or less performance out of this WR3. I'm leaning towards Blackmon because of the matchup and how heavily he's been targeted recently... I also think he has the highest upside this week.

That said, I think Maclin and Gibson might be the safer plays... Thoughts?
