Championship Game QBs, WHIR

Postby mrkmagnus » Sat Dec 22, 2012 4:25 pm

Yahoo standard 8 team league

I've got Peyton Manning who has averaged about 15 points a game in the past month or Tony Romo who has averaged 20 points a game in that same period. Plus Manning is playing an above average Cleveland d whereas Romo is playing an awful Saints d. Seeing as I'll need the most points I can get, who should I start?

Will answer your question if you leave it in response.

I like Romo. Most people will probably tell you to play Manning but Romo has been on fire over the past 4 weeks and although the saints d has improved they are still very beatable. I think Manning has a decent game but I expect a heavy dose of Knowshon this week.

I think this is a situation where you do "bench your stud". Romo will be slinging the ball all over the field, and while he may turn it over a couple times more than Peyton, he'll make up for it in yardage. On paper, DAL/NO should feature a ton of points.

I absolutely agree 100%. Only thing I will add: Cowboys are fighting for their lives today; Broncos aren't. Go with the hot hand against the bad secondary: start Romo.

Good luck!
