Hello everyone, I came here to ask for advice for who I should keep moving into next years fantasy season. It is a normal scoring system and the players I have to decide between are: -Aaron Rodgers (plan on keeping) -Adrian Peterson (plan on keeping) -Trent Richardson -Dez Bryant -Jamaal Charles
When do you have to decide? If you could wait until the draft to see what KC does at QB. Charles could be like Steven Jackson who puts up solid numbers without ever having a decent team around him but if they can upgrade the O-line and get a QB via draft/trade/free agency this off-season he could be outstanding next year. TRich is in the same boat with a bad team that could get better. If you have to decide today, I'd go with TRich but I think Charles is a solid option too.
i agree with the guy above me, don't dismiss Charles so easily. T Rich was very touchdown dependent this year, i owned him and it worried me every single week. He would get 20 touches and only 50 yards but bail you out with 2 TDs, i see TDs as being fluky and even though they held up all year i dont want to rely on them. Charles on the other hand was rock solid for the most part outside of usage issues. With a coaching change there and hopefully a beefing up of the roster he could easily be a top 5 back next year. Richardson is probably the better long term keeper but for next year alone i like Charles a bit better
As far as Dez i wouldn't even consider him. In a league like this where you can keep any players regardless of draft position, the RB lineup is going to be picked thin. People almost always keep 2 RBs in this format which means you will be down to flex RBs for the most part in the draft, if you only keep 1 back that puts you at a big disadvantage. I honestly would be tempted to keep the 3 RBs and throw Rogers back there but thats a little outside the box
appreciating the advice from everyone, I do have quite some time to decide who I should ultimately choose so with someone like Chip Kelly perhaps going to Cleveland, Trent Richardson would definitley be tempting to hold on to. But I think I will do what most are recommending in simply seeing what Cleveland and Kansas City do during the off-season, however Richardson has the advantage as most of you are recommending.
FWIW, I have both Richardson and Charles and I'm not considering keeping Charles. However, I'll be looking for him in the draft pool later in the right place. He was maddening this year, but I think that was mainly due to not getting the ball enough in some games. Andy Reid will be better for him I think, but Richardson with Kelly could be pretty exciting.
