DuJuan Harris shows he's arrived in NFL
Green Bay - Every Super Bowl winner needs the unsung hero. Victor Cruz in 2011. James Starks in 2010. On championship teams, someone usually rises from anonymity.
On Saturday night, one play announced DuJuan Harris as Green Bay's 2012 candidate.
The second-year running back took a pitch right, stopped on a dime, cut left and met Jamarca Sanford head on a full three yards shy of the goal line. Harris avoided a clean hit - Sanford hanging onto the running back's left foot - and lunged in for the score.
This undrafted, forgotten, practice-squad footnote is a footnote no more. In Green Bay's 24-10 win over Minnesota, Harris had 100 total yards. He's the Packers' top running back.
"You never know what the future brings," Harris said. "Tomorrow could be something else. You never know. You just have to be prepared for any type of situation that comes up."
