Small trade, but was it bad? (Dynasty PPR)

Postby mzkp54 » Tue Feb 19, 2013 8:59 pm

I'm getting some heat for a trade I just made. I figured I needed the RB depth more than WR depth.

I traded Stephen Hill
I received Knowshon Moreno and the 4.6 rookie pick

My team before:

QB(1)- Brees, Wilson, Smith
RB(2-3)- Lynch, RBush, Bradshaw, Turbin, Goodson, Blount
WR(2-3)- Cobb, Wallace, MWilliams, Hilton, Hill, Sanu, MFloyd (SD)
TE(1-2)- Celek, Gates
(Plus a lot of other crap players I will probably drop for rookies)
Rookie picks- 1.1, 1.6, 3.1, 4.1, 5.1

I think it was a decent trade, although both players are huge question marks. They are both relatively young and have shown moments of being very good, along with moments of being unusable. In a dynasty league I think Hill has the more potential just because he hasnt been given a fair shot yet, although that may never change with the QB situation. Moreno was a stud for the last month+ of the season, but will he be given another chance?

I think if he is a starting RB somewhere then this will be a home run for you, but i just dont think that is going to happen. However I dont think Hill will ever be a top 20WR so its not like this will haunt you if Moreno goes back to the practice squad. I think the upside of Moreno far outweighs the upside of Hill, so as a gambling man i would take the trade and just hope Moreno gets a shot somewhere.
