Need Help Picking a Third Back

Postby wtr23 » Thu Mar 21, 2013 11:53 am

Hey guys, it's nearly my turn to draft and I'm looking for my third running back (we start 2 but have the potential to start a 3rd in the flex). Here's whats left:

>> Bradshaw - injury concerns, still looking for work but will be picked up eventually. Don't think I can sit back much longer though so I'll avoid this one for now.
>> Richardson - did a little back up work, looks like he's carrying the load now that sjax is gone
>> Jstew - kind of a last minute thought, wouldn't mind taking him but thats only if Bradshaw and richardson both go in the next 2 picks (unlikely)
>> P. Thomas - Sproles is off the board, don't really like the 3 man RB attack but again this is a RB3 or bye week fill in at this point.

Which back would you take here?

**edit** please note this is a dynasty league, 1pt/10 rush yds, 1pt/15 rec yds, and .5 PPR

Went ahead and took Richardson, I could do worse with a 12th round pick :-)

Wish I'd seen this earlier... I think you missed. Stewart would have been the home run pick for a 3rd RB in a dynasty IMHO.

Not sold on Richardson inheriting SJax's job. I think Fisher views him as the change of pace back, and not the replacement for SJax. I think STL gives Pead a legit shot at the starting job, and I also think they will draft a RB.

Don't worry if you missed me the first time, I'm back :-D Here's my backfield at present: Foster, Gore, D. Richardson, P. Thomas. Most everyone in the league is building their defense now, I need 2 D-line players but there's plenty of them still available. At this point I'd like to take my last RB before the well is completely dry. Here's What we have left:

>> DeAngelo Williams
>> Knowshon Moreno
>> Michael Turner
>> Cedric Benson
>> Felix Jones
>> Roy Helu
>> Daniel Thomas
>> Danny Woodhead
>> Rashad Jennings
>> Beanie Wells
>> LaRod Stephens-Howling
>> Chris Ivory
>> Dexter McCluster**

I could go on but those are the more notable ones still out there...

With McCluster I believe he is classified as RB/WR (or at least he was last season) so I can potentially kill 2 birds with 1 stone there. I feel like with Alex Smith under center and Andy Reid at the controls they may try to factor him into the gameplan, and he may be worthy of consideration this late in the draft (round 23 of 36). Who do you take here?

I would take Moreno. I think he has the most upside out of the group even though I think the Broncos will take a RB in the draft. After Moreno I like D-Will then Wells.
