Four days after he visited Jacksonville and was offered a contract, free agent receiver Mohamed Massaquoi agreed to terms on a deal with the Jaguars on Friday.
Massaquoi will sign the agreement on Monday.
Massaquoi, who also drew interest from the New York Jets last month and visited the Houston Texans this week, becomes the eighth receiver on the Jaguars roster.
A former second-round draft pick from Georgia, the 26-year old Massaquoi spent the first four years of his career with the Cleveland Browns.
With the Browns, Massquoi caught 118 passes for 1,745 yards and seven touchdowns in 54 games but had only two 100-yard receiving games and never exceeded 36 catches in a season.
Massaquoi wasn’t targeted by Cleveland’s new regime of general manager Mike Lombardi, coach Rob Chudzinski and offensive coordinator Norv Turner even though the Browns haven’t signed a receiver in free agency.
