9th pick in 10 team dynasty

Postby dblj9911 » Wed May 01, 2013 2:04 pm

I'm in a 10 team dynasty league, 25 man roster, 3rd rookie draft, we start 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1te, 1 k, 2 idp, 1 ppr, 6 pt all td. So as everyone knows this years NFL draft there wasn't a ton of highly rated skill players. So with the 9th pick in all three rounds there isn't a ton to chose from, and my team is deep already. My thinking is get Lattimore at 9, stash him for the year and hope he totally rehabs and is there top guy on 2014.
My roster- top guys, not whole team
QB- Ryan, Newton, Eli
WR- Calvin, Fitz, Colston, Blackmon, Jordy Nelson, Denario Alexander, S Rice
RB- AP, T. Richardson, A Morris, Green- Ellis, Knowshon
TE- Gronk, O Daniels

Also we can trade players / future draft picks (2014 picks), should I package my 1st and 2 nd rd pick for a 1st rd pick next year or a player for a 1st rd pick in 2014?

I have less faith in Lattimore making it back than most, but I agree that RB is the position I would target. I'd target Franklin or Stacy. I don't do idp, so can't help there.

I would wait until you are almost on the clock and offer your 1.09 for a late 2nd/early third and a 2014 1st round pick.

If you keep the pick, I would look for BPA... You will likely have a pretty good WR fall to you there.

I'd have to agree with Indy here. This draft doesn't scream top talent like we have seen the last few years, but its possibly to find a diamond in the rough.

With your roster in fairly good position to compete now, using a pick on Lattimore's potential to me wouldn't be a complete waste.

To me it comes down to whether you'd rather take a lottery ticket like Lattimore or someone who has the potential to be solid if not spectacular. If my team is relatively solid i'm always going to lean towards the lottery ticket.

i think you can find a good WR, a top TE, and/or a RB. you don't need a QB. i could see possible Allen or Dobson there, Patton, maybe Hunter. If Eifert is there maybe grab him, even though you have Gronk—he's been hurt, and good backup. Lattimore there is a good flier, maybe Christine Michael, if you like him.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=533693
