Trying to get the 1.1 in a Dynasty WHIR

Postby wickerkat » Tue May 07, 2013 8:28 pm

So, I have the 1.10 and I'm trying to get the 1.01. I don't have a second round pick, and he doesn't want my third/fourth. 1 ppr, 12-man, standard scoring, dynasty.

Who can I pair with the 1.10 to get that pick? I'm going after Tavon Austin, as I need WRs and am big on him. (Starters in BOLD).
We start QB-RB-RB-RB-WR-WR-WR-WR-FLEX-TE-K-D.

MY TEAM

Freeman, Josh TBB QB
Kaepernick, Colin SFO QB
Smith, Alex KCC QB
Weeden, Brandon CLE QB

Can I afford to give up SJax? He'll do well in ATL, but for how much longer? He needs RBs for sure, and WRs, too. Thoughts? THANKS!

Offer him one of your RBs straight up for the 1.01. Don't forget about Lamar Miller as well. I would probably trade the 1.01 for most of those proven RBs.

Huh. Didn't think he would go for that. His response to my offer of 1.10/3.10/4.10 for his 1.01 was "let me look at your players." So maybe that's on the table.

I just don't think there will be a quality, starting WR at 10.

I expect Austin, Hopkins, Cordarrelle and possibly Allen and even Hunter to go in the top ten with Bernard, Lacy, Ball, and Bell, maybe Lattimore and Franklin. MAYBE Eifert. MAYBE Geno (but probably not). So I'm looking at maybe Woods or Dobson, Patton or Wheaton, TWilliams or Bailey there. With no 2nd, I'll never get a second tier wr in addition to a starter, at 34th overall.

I wouldn't really know where to begin with answering this question. I've never really dealt with Dynasty league drafting. It seems that the both of you have issues at WR. I think your group is much better than his considering 5 of his 8 WR are jobless. I feel he'd be hard pressed to trade away 1.01 unless you you gave away one of your WRs. I agree with buck that offering one of your RBs is the best way to try and get this trade done. Although like i mentioned he has some issues at WR so he's most likely looking to take one with his first pick. If I were you I'd start to consider taking Dobson, if you can't get the trade to go through. I think in the Patriots system he could be really good especially since it looks like Gronk wont be there right away. Dobson has hands made of stick'em and in football if you can catch passes you're gonna get the ball thrown your way.

Honestly, I'd stay put and just take the best WR available at 1.10
Kate Upton's Husband - dead
Mr. Blonde - champ
Yo Soy Fiesta - dead
Old South - champ
Full of Fanta Tonight - champ
Sex Panther (SB) - dead
Sex Panther (FF) - dead
Sex Panther (IBL) - dead
Sex Panther (Dynasty) dead

thanks, guys. yeah, i was just trying to figure if trading an aging SJax could get me the #1. but i do like SJax a lot in ATL, think he still has 2-3 years left in him. at #10 i don't THINK that Austin, Patterson or Hopkins will be there. I'm loving Dobson more and more, and he should be there at 10, as well as maybe Allen, Hunter, etc. might be worth it to stand pat.
