Provider Customizations

Postby USFHudson » Sat Jun 01, 2013 1:43 pm

Hey everyone,

New to the forums, but I imagine I'll be spending a lot of time here, haha. I'm a commissioner going into our 3rd season and our league's constitution (9 pages) has a few provisions that i'm finding to be unique. I'm trying to find the best provider for our options and was hoping y'all could help me out.

1) Which providers use the vickery system for FAAB bids?

2) Our league is divided into 2 conferences, 4 divisions. As written, the playoffs have 3 guys from each conference- the 2 division winners and 1 wild card in each. Yahoo couldn't handle this last year and I had to spend WAY too much time changing records to make it work the way I wanted. Do y'all know which providers allow me to manually change who's in the playoffs & playoff matchups (if it doesn't support this structure already)?

3) I hate that ESPN counts a pick-six against a team defense. At least, they did when I used them last (2 years ago). Are they still doing this?

Ideally, I'm looking for these in a free league, but if the only way to get it is to pay, then I'll be seeing if the league is willing to pay extra.

Thanks for any imput!!

I am not familiar with #1, but I think you'll find Fleaflicker.com will support #2 & #3 - and it's a free site.

Thanks!

I should have clarified- Vickery goes like this: I bid 45 bucks on a dude, the next highest bid is 15, I get him for 16 instead of the full 45.

Welcome to the Cafe! This place has a lot of great info, so hopefully you'll stick around. ;-D

Like Rob, I wasn't familiar with #1, but I googled it. Looks like it's a FAAB system where the winning bid ends up being $1 more than the 2nd place bid. I agree with Rob that fleaflicker is probably the best free site out there. It allows the FAAB system, but I searched around the site and I don't think it supports the vickery system. myfantasyleague.com is my favorite pay site, but I searched around that site also, and I don't think it supports the vickery system. I did some google searches, but I still wasn't able to find a hosting site that supports that system. So it looks like fleaflicker might be your best option...except for the fact that it doesn't support the vickery system. I'll post again if I find a site that supports the vickery system, and please do the same. Good luck! ;-D

I had never heard about #1, prob because I've never done any auction leagues. All 8 dynasty leagues I'm in are hosted on Flea, lotta guys here like Flea.

BTW - welcome to the Cafe, lots to see and do here so have a look around - hope ya decide to stick around! ;-D
