Rookie draft... pick #2...

Postby maestro1313 » Mon Jun 03, 2013 11:05 am

Lacy went first... so I get my pick...
12 team ppr...
Currently have:
RB's - Foster & McFadden...
WR's - Fitz/S. Johnson/V. Brown...

So could use a WR... but do I pass on an RB for that?
Will be able to add talented bodies in auction, but in the rookie draft, who do you want?

Or... try and trade down a bit?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts...

I think there are still a couple rookie RB's who stand a decent shot of being the starters this year so in my mind you have to draft one of them. Ball or Bell could both be seeing the lions share of the carries by fantasy playoff time. WR's are just too plentiful in the market unless you see someone as the next Megatron.

I'd say Tavon Austin is worthy of a top 3 pick, and thats an area where you could use some help. Whoever took Lacy 1st overall is a fool IMO. Too many question marks with his durability as it is, I don't see it happening in a pass first offense. St Louis had Austin lining up all over the field in practice, I can see him taking a Percy Harvin type role there. If I had a top 3 pick I'd be taking Austin hands down, especially in PPR.

I agree with WTR - I think you have to look at Austin. There are just too many questions at RB this year. I have Austin #1 on my rookie board.

I'm a HUGE Ball fan, and admittedly a Broncos fan. However, if I had the 1.01 in any league no matter my roster needs, I would take Tavon Austin. I think he's just too dynamic of a player to not take there. There are, as I've seen in my drafts, MANY people that disagree with me, but he's easily the #1 rookie on my board.

I would have to agree....
Tavon is the answer...

Thanks to all of you... I will proudly blame you, if he flames out! ;-D

Thanks again...

I've seen Austin go 1st in some leagues and make it to 5 in another. Seeing you need a wr I would take him. I also like Ball. I think he is going to be the #1 from day one.

So... just though some of you might find this interesting...
Lacy
Austin (mine)
Bernard
Ball
Lattimore
Hopkins
Bell
Franklin
Eifert
Randel
Stacy...
#12 -

I have picks #13 & #14....
Other then Lacy #1 (yech!) I don't have an issue with too many of these picks, yet am amazed at the number of RB's selected...
8 RB's... 2 WR's & 1 TE... Interesting split...

So, who would you take at #13/#14.... Patterson/Allen/Woods... or QB with Manual... or yet another RB?
Thoughts are always appreciated...

Id shoot for Patterson first. Christine Michael if you want a RB. If they are gone I would take either Allen or Woods
