Dynasty Trade Evaluation [Already transacted] - WHIR

I wanted your guys opinion on if I stupidly overpaid, paid fairly, or whatever the hell you feel like saying! ;-D

I have 45 to 50 guys on my roster currently but this is a LB trade so I'll keep it to that. We start 3 LB.

Scoring rules on defense:
Blocked Field Goals - 2.0
Blocked PATs - 2.0
Blocked Punts - 2.0
Sacks - 4.0
Fumbles Forced - 2.6
Fumbles Recovered - 3.4
Interceptions - 3.2
Turnover Return Yardage - 0.04
Tackles - 2.2
Assists - 1.0
Passes Defensed - 2.8 bonus point(s) for each 1 pass(es) defensed, starting with 1 pass(es) defensed.

My LB Crop
Von Miller
Brian Cushing
Curtis Lofton
Akeem Ayers
Rey Maualuga
Mike Catapano [practice squad]

Trade
I think Arthur Brown is an excellent IDP steal. Most value him as a middle round rookie pick, but I am a believer that he could be similar in production to Kuechly [though not quite as high].

I offered a few different things but the owner wouldn't settle for anything less than a 1st round rookie pick next year. It is a fan pick [I like the Ravens and I'm from Kansas where Brown played/grew up] but I feel it has the value too.

Other than RB, I feel like my team is pretty damn strong and I could afford to do this. I wanted an excellent LB to have around in case Lofton, Miller, or Cushing get injured. Plus, any of these 3 or Brown make a much better bye week and matchup guy than Ayers or Maualuga.

I dropped Nick Barnett once I got Brown. I understand potential repercussions of giving up the first pick, but I'm cool with it.

I think you overpaid, but I wouldn't say that you "stupidly overpaid". According to MFL, his current ADP is 14th, so he's been going early 2nd on average. I got him at 2.06 (18th overall) in one of my rookie drafts (I traded D.Richardson for the pick). It looks like he's going to be a 3 down LB for BAL from the start. If he becomes a stud, then I think he's worth it. I would just pray that your team does really well this year, because I'd hate for that 1st rounder to be a high one. Good luck! ;-D
